This was the first in a series of experiments for what to do with our scraps. The number of hours each one takes to produce makes them commercially too expensive, but these samples are too good just to let them sit in the stock room.Please note the non matching pockets - The button holes will be functional, but I thought it best to leave the choice of buttons up to you!This one is a Size 10Uk.Neck to hem: 19"/48cmArmpit to armpit: 21"/54cmLoose fit, roughly waist length. Here's another never-to-be-repeated waistcoat - made from scraps and offcuts. We made four in total, each one different. This one has luxurious velvet piping, no fastenings. It's designed to sit open, but you could add frogging or toggles if you felt so inclined. We made four gilets/waistcoats as a project to see what we could do with the scraps and offcuts. This is one of them - they're all different and all equally fabulous. This one is lined with a synthetic lining (we cut up an old sheet that was to hand) but everything else is natural cotton.
